Live Adriatic Wave Conditions

Track real-time wave heights across the Croatian Adriatic Sea. The map above displays concentric pulse animations at each monitoring station, where larger and faster pulses indicate higher wave activity.

The Adriatic Sea is generally calmer than the open Mediterranean thanks to its semi-enclosed geography. Average wave heights in sheltered coastal areas and channels typically range from 0.1 m to 0.5 m, while open water sections — particularly during bora or jugo episodes — can see waves exceeding 3 metres. The Kvarner Gulf and the Split Channel are known for their occasionally choppy conditions.

Wave data is sourced from the Open-Meteo marine network and refreshed hourly. Click any point on the map to see the current wave height, nearby conditions, and a 7-day wave forecast chart.
